The closest dog park without traffic is about 40 minutes from here. I'd love to be able to take my dog more frequently to release her pent up energy, but at that distance it's too far to travel several times a week. Why not create a safer, more active, pet friendly community in Azle?

Ok, so we want to hold back on huge corporate infrastructure..at least that's what it appears to those of us who have grown up here and see other cities progressing at a speed unworthy of 199. I've recently visited community waterparks in Saginaw and Stephenville (even Weatherford has a community pool) that offer something special to their citizens. I think this would be fantastic in Azle as well. It doesn't have to be huge to be fun, those towns prove that. I know that something like it would work fantastically in our city too!

Example: A few neighbors have been asked to clean up; and I've been waiting at least 5 months on my last complaints. We have empty houses used for drug usage; that should be boarded up to keep the problem teens etc. out. We have one man in the neighborhood whose yard looks like a dump ground. The inside is a health hazard. He is a drug user and drugs are dealt there. We pay taxes just like Timberlake Estates etc.; but Castle Hills is the nastiest, drug using and dealing part of Azle.

I live in Parker County and have always considered Azle "my home" even though my address is Weatherford. I have now lost ALL FAITH in the City Government after reading the LAND GRAB plans to swoop in and take our rights from us! This is NOT the way we do things in Texas! Your sneaky way of trying to push this through so quickly has not gone unnoticed. You are going to be put on the map and it won't be in a favorable manner!

I live in Parker County and have always considered Azle "my home" even though my address is Weatherford. I have now lost ALL FAITH in the City Government after reading the LAND GRAB plans to swoop in and take our rights from us! This is NOT the way we do things in Texas! Your sneaky way of trying to push this through so quickly has not gone unnoticed. You are going to be put on the map and it won't be in a favorable manner!

The city of Azle needs a splash pad. I think Central Park would be a great space. We wouldn’t lose seating for the great Fourth of July show because it could be turned off during the evening.

How about we not allow smoking at city parks and restaraunts. Go to any of our parks and see how littered with cigarette butts it is. Shady grove beach is half cigarette butts and half sand. Let's...

How about we not allow smoking at city parks and restaraunts. Go to any of our parks and see how littered with cigarette butts it is. Shady grove beach is half cigarette butts and half sand. Let's help make Azle a cleaner and much more family friendly environment.

Perhaps an area for disability products..an area of donated food/clothing items...a center where we take care of each other!
No companies, or corporations allowed..private individuals only.
Volunteer run establishment. (No pay!)
No charge for booth, donations to cover taxes, incidentals, upkeep.
Need a lot, no liabilities to owner...or need donations to purchase a lot...anyone have a lot that would work, plz contact. All whom enter are responsible for themselves..we all take care of each other.

I noticed Shady Grove park is beautiful! There’s just no shaded areas in the playground area for the kids or moms of young kids who want to sit nearby. There are benches, just no shade. Those blue (or green) dealership type canopies would be great! The full sun makes the playground hot and unsafe for the kids-especially summer time. The park could use a little more shade. After all, it would attract more families with young kids.

I noticed Shady Grove park is beautiful! There’s just no shaded areas in the playground area for the kids or moms of young kids who want to sit nearby. There are benches, just no shade. Children would be welcome..as they would learn much". The fresh vegetables could be shared with all..much needed in today's world, plus a sense of community and accomplishment and nutritious foods. The one stipulation would be heirloom seeds only. Would need land and a water source, and hopefully other interested parties.

When people complain Shady Grove beach area is trashed I’ve personally noticed some trash started in the trash cans but blew out. For some weird reason we have a bunch of trash cans without lids :/ I think this would be a fairly inexpensive fix that would help keep the trash in the cans ;) and keep the beach area cleaned up. Additionally, it really needs to be a glass free area (and actually enforced!) I’ve made it a routine of mine to comb the beach area for glass and pick up handfuls of glass shards at least once a month. It really hurts my heart to think of a child being injured by something so preventable.
