March 29 - Gov Abbott issued further restrictions to travelers entering Texas, effective at noon March 30, adding additional locations for persons flying to Texas and those driving to Texas from Louisiana.

Gov Abbott issued a proclamation adding the following states and cities to the list set forth in Executive Order GA-11 for a mandatory self-quarantine of 14 days effective at noon on March 30, 2020, for air travelers flying to Texas from areas experiencing substantial community spread of COVID-19:
California; Louisiana; Washington; Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; and Miami, Florida.

Gov Abbott also issued Executive Order GA-12 mandating a 14-day quarantine for road travelers arriving in Texas from any location in Louisiana. This order to self-quarantine will not apply to travel related to commercial activity, military service, emergency response, health response, or critical infrastructure functions as determined by the Texas Division of Emergency Management. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) will enforce this executive order along the Texas-Louisiana border.
