Azle Animal Shelter offers a low cost spay and neuter program administered through Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP). This program is open to any individual whose pet needs sterilization or vaccination. The procedures are conducted at the Old Azle Library, 609 SE Pkwy (next to City Hall), by a licensed veterinarian and veterinary technicians. See the attached flyer for more information.
Reminder: The State of Texas requires all dogs and cats be vaccinated against rabies by 4 months of age and on an annual basis. All dogs and cats must receive a second rabies vaccination within one year of receiving their first vaccine, regardless of the type of vaccine used or the age at which the animal was initially vaccinated.
Additionally, all dogs & cats within the Azle city limits are required to be vaccinated against rabies and registered with the City of Azle, annually. Vaccinating your pet is a key step in protecting them against life threatening diseases.
