Summer Reading Club
Get rewarded for reading this summer! Register for the children's, teen and adult Summer Reading Clubs! It's free and you can earn prizes just for reading. Anything counts: books, magazines, text books, eBooks, comics, and more! Stop by the Library any time through July 26th to participate. Plus, special FREE programs are taking place all summer long for all ages.
Summer Toddler Tales Storytime
Every Wednesday at 10:00 am - June 12-July 24
Toddler Tales (PDF) is a participatory program for parents/caregivers and children ages 18-36 months. We will enjoy books, songs, finger plays, felt board stories and crafts reflecting a weekly theme. (Please note a special Fireman themed Storytime will take place on June 19 and only one storytime will take place at 10 am for any storytime aged child)
Summer Preschool Storytime
Every Wednesday at 10:45 am - June 12-July 24
Preschool Storytime (PDF) is a participatory program for both parent/caregiver and child, with the 3-6 year old child in mind. We will enjoy books, songs, finger plays, felt board stories and crafts reflecting a weekly theme. (Please note a special Fireman themed Storytime will take place on June 19 and only one storytime will take place at 10 am for any storytime aged child)
Family Film Friday
First Friday of each month at 4:00 PM (Plus Each Friday in June/July)
Join us each month for a family friendly movie in the Library Community Room. Fresh popcorn provided free of charge. All ages welcome, but children under 8 and under must have a parent or adult guardian with them at all times. Sponsored by the Azle Library Trust.

Non-Fiction Addiction Book Club
First Thursday of every month at 6:00 PM
The Library is excited to announce the beginning of a new non-fiction book club for adults! Join us for lively discussion and get to know fellow readers. Meets in the Library Community Room.

Second Tuesday of every month at 4:30 pm
Discover your inner artist! We will explore all types of art and you can take your creations home! Perfect for Ages 5 and up. All materials will be supplied. For more information, see our Flyer or call the Library.
READ to a Dog
Second Saturday of every month from 2-3:30 pm
Children of all ages will be able to read to a certified therapy dog in order to improve their reading skills. Takes place in the Library Community Room. Come-and-go.
Second Monday of every other month (plus December) at 4:30 pm
Learn cooking techniques, discover new recipes, and sample tasty foods at this monthly program held in the Community Room. This program is aimed towards adults, but teenage cooks are also welcome!

NASA Solar System Ambassador
Thursday, July 18th at 6:00 pm
Join us for an evening of space exploration and discovery led by a NASA Solar System Ambassador. This program, which is geared towards adults, takes place in the Library Community Room. Free!
Main Street Book Club
Third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm
Adults of all ages are welcome to attend and discuss the book selection for the month. Takes place in the Library Community Room.

Perot TECH Truck

The Perot TECH Truck (PDF) is visiting this summer. Don't miss the fun, hands-on science lab experiments they bring. Just show up for the fun and learn new, amazing things. Best for ages 5 to 12. NASA Ambassador Lecture
Thursday, July 18th at 6:00 pm
Adults are invited to come hear a NASA Ambassador speak about the solar system, galaxy and constellations. Please bring a star chart if you own one, or the Library can provide one for you. Takes place in the Library Community Room.
Teen Craft Night
Thursday, July 25th at 6:30 pm
The Library will provide all the supplies and instructions for teens ages 13-18 to make an awesome art project! Children under 13 will not be permitted, but parents are welcome to remain in the room while their teens complete the art project. (A parent or guardian, aged 18+, must remain in the Library building at all times for anyone aged 13, and are encouraged to remain in the building for for anyone aged 14 and up.)
