Animal Control Advisory Committee

Overview

The Animal Control Advisory Committee was created on June 2010 and assists the city in complying with the requirements of Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 823. The A.C.A.C. consists of four members appointed by the City Council.

Meetings

This Committee meets three times a year (March, June, October) at the Azle Animal Shelter, 724 Park Street at 1:00 p.m.

Qualifications

Committee members serve for a two year term and with the following qualifications:

  • One member must be a licensed veterinarian
  • One member must be a city or county official
  • One member must have duties including the daily operation of an animal shelter
  • One member must be a representative of an animal welfare organization.
