Azle Parks and Recreation Department maintains over 85 acres of parkland offering activities for everyone. The picnic pavilions provide the ideal setting for family gatherings, playgrounds offering features for any child, softball program for adults, as well as a Senior Citizens Center for senior citizens. In addition, the City offers a summer concert series during the months of June and July.

During Park and Recreation Month, NRPA challenges you to explore the “undiscovered” roles of local parks and recreation, like science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programming; senior programs; innovative health and wellness opportunities; community celebrations; outdoor education; flood mitigation; maintenance; and more! Redefine how you think about your local parks and recreation, and uncover a lifetime of discovery!
The goal behind Park and Recreation Month is to promote activities that are going on in our community. July is the perfect time to get out and discover the great things happening in our parks. Playgrounds, disc golf, softball leagues, senior center, swimming, Music in the Park — these are just a few of the things that come to mind when thinking of activities during the month of July.
