Depending upon a property's current status, you might be required to plat, re-plat or rezone a property before you can develop it.
Zoning determines what land uses can legally be placed on the property. Rezoning a property involves several steps. The zoning process usually takes about eight to ten weeks. Failure to meet submittal deadlines or incomplete submittals can significantly increase the amount of time required to complete the zoning change process. Azle currently has 20 different districts that include residential, commercial, and industrial zoning.
